Mary A. Kronenbitter, 83, a resident of 33 Downey Drive, Oswego, passed away December 12, 2007, at home following a brief illness. She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Agnes Roark Faber. Mrs. Kronenbitter was the wife of the late, Robert P. Kronenbitter, Lt. Col. USAF (RET) who died May 27, 2003. She was a graduate of Leonia High School in Leonia, NJ, and New Jersey Teacher's College. She also attended St. Xavier College in Chicago. Mrs. Kronenbitter taught at several Department of Defense Schools overseas while her husband served in the military, including schools in Germany, Japan, and Taiwan. She was an active communicant of St. Mary's Church where she served on the Parish Council and as a eucharistic minister. She had also organized and directed St. Mary's Bridge Marathon for 27 years. She is survived by three daughters, Ann M. (James) Conzone, Ellen A. (David, deceased) Parker, Julie C. (Ed) Sova; two sons, Jack (Debra) Kronenbitter and James (Linda) Kronenbitter, all of Oswego; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Kronenbitter was predeceased by a son, William Kronenbitter; infant daughter, Mary Kronenbitter; brother, John Faber; and a close cousin, Rev. John Daley. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
