He was born in Redfleld Nov. 1, 1881, the son of the late Samuel and Millie Fox Adsit.
For a few years he was employed by the Utica Street Car company and later conducted grocery stores in Redfield, Cleveland, Westdale, Taberg, and Rome and one year, ago he purchased the Penfield Building in Camden where he has conducted a grocery store until his death.
He married Mrs. Blanche Cordell of Oneida on Oct. 30, 1941. He was member of the United church of Camden and a former member o£ the I.O.O.F. of Redfleld.
He is survived by his wife; several children by a, former marriage; and five sisters, Mrs. Arthur Whistler, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. James Hamilton, Pulaski; Mrs. John Wilson, Pulaski; Mrs. Fred Gunther, Binghamton; and Mrs. George Joynes, Hampton, Va.; and one brother, Guy W. Adsit of Camden; also several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Redfleld
