Lura A. (Warren) Burlingame, 79, of 15 Burncolt Road, a registered nurse at the Veterans Administration Center in Leeds, died Tuesday at home. She retired in 1978. A lifelong resident here, she was a 1934 graduate of Northampton High School, and a 1939 graduate of the Holyoke Hospital School of Nursing. She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II, and was stationed at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee Falls. She leaves a son; a daughter; two sisters; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be arranged. Drozdal Funeral Home is in charge and memorial contributions may be made to the Hampshire County Hospice, 7 Dennison Place, Northampton, Mass., 01060.
