Chico Daily Record, Saturday July 21, 1900, pg 1 col 3: Death of D.S. Stillman. Dwight S. Stillman, a native of New York, aged 48 years, died yesterday morning at 8 o’clock, at the family home on Ivy street between Seventh and Eighth. Deceased served through the civil war as a soldier, after which he located in Minnesota. He came to Chico about one and one half years ago. The immediate relatives of the deceased are the widow and brother, E.N. Stillman, of Chico, C.F. Stillman, a brother, and Mrs. Alice Jones, a sister, both residing in Minnesota, and two children, residents of Eastern states. The time of the funeral has not been appointed.
