"Betty Jean Chisam, 67, Kansas City, MO, died on April 29, 1999, at her home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 3, at D. W. Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions to KC Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Betty was born October 21, 1931, in Dover, MO, to Clarence and Grace Weidenhammer. She lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. She was a Christian woman and was saved at the Christian Church in Dover, MO, and Baptized in Lexington, MO. Her faith had a central role in her life. She took life as it came to her, always looking for the good, always being kind and gentle. She was deeply loved by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father in 1997 and two brothers, Charles Weidenhammer in 1985 and Larry Weidenhammer in 1999.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William K. Chisam, Jr., of the home; son, Richard M. Chisam of Kansas City, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Wally Butler of Liberty, MO; her mother, Grace Weidenhammer of Warsaw, MO; sister, Peggy Weidenhammer of Warsaw, MO; brother, Billy Weidenhammer of Kansas City, MO; one grandson, five granddaughters and one great-grandson."
