George A. Wikle whose residence was listed as Marion County, Iowa, Birth Date: abt 1843, enlisted at the age of 21 on June 4, 1864 as a private in Company A, Iowa 47th Infantry Regiment. He applied for veterans benefits on November 18, 1890. Chico Cemetery Association records his burial, at "age 85" on September 29, 1934.
