Emily Bulwer-Lytton was the daughter of Robert Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Earl of Lytton and his wife Edith Villiers, Countess of Lytton.
She married Edwin Landseer Lutyens, son of Captain Charles Henry Augustus Lutyens (1829–1915) and his wife Mary Theresa Gallwey (1832/33–1906), on August 4, 1897 at Knebworth, Hertfordshire, England. Lady Emily had proposed to Edwin two years before the wedding, and her parents disapproved of the marriage.

2. Robert Lutyens, (1901–1971), interior designer. Designed the façade used for over 40 Marks & Spencer stores.
