Kenneth L. Rhoades

Kenneth Louis Rhoades,82, of Springfield passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007, at his residence. He was born April 12, 1925 in Springfield, the son of Levi Madison and Birdie Lawrence Rhoades Sr. He married Mildred Nelson in 1946 in California; she died in 1969. He married Virginia Carson in 1970 in Springfield. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter. Mr. Rhoades was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, having served in the Pacific Theatre.

He is survived by his wife Virginia, 3 sons, Stephen (Linda)Rhoades of Nevada, William Rhoades of Utah, and Walt Carson of Arizona and 2 daughters, Susan (Don)Richards of Washington and Kelli (Ray)Young of Springfield. 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Monroe, Willy,& Jr. and 7 sisters, Lucille, Lola, Edith, Kay, Ruth, Noma and Evelyn.

Interment is in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
