Little is known of Alexander Tatuloff. He and Maria had one daughter, Olga, born in Harbin in 1928. He emigrated to the United States from Harbin in January 1930 on the steamer Taiyo Maru, which was sunk by the submarine SS Grenadier on May 8, 1942. The loss of life on the ship was 817 officers and passengers, with 543 survivors.
