Phyllis A. (Park) Carstens, 78, of Flanagan passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at OSF St. James Hospital in Pontiac. Phyllis was born on December 8, 1942, in Nebraska Township, Flanagan, to Henry and Luella (Aden) Park.
Phyllis graduated from Flanagan High School Class of 1961.
She married Kenneth Carstens April 8, 1962, in St. Petri Lutheran Church.
She had worked with her husband on the home farm their entire married life in Flanagan. She was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church where she was very active and very strong in her faith.
Surviving is her husband of Flanagan; son Rodney K. (Brenda) Carstens of Flanagan; grandchildren:Jonathan K. (Lindsay) Carstens of Flanagan, Alan M. (Ashlee) Carstens of Long Point; step-grandchildren: Joe Ledford of Pontiac, Samantha Ledford of Flanagan; great grandchildren: Alivia Waschle and Owen Carstens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kevin Carstens; one sister Jean Greening.
Her service will be Monday December 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Flanagan with Pastor Amy Berger officiating. Burial will be in St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery in Flanagan. Visitation will be Sunday December 5, 2021, from 2:00-5:00 pm at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home. They are in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church.
