Roberta Loraine Alcorn Evans left this world at the grand age of 103. She went to join her beloved husband Harvey and her other heavenly family on Monday, November 29, 2021. Roberta was born July 27, 1918 on the Scott Ranch in Windthorst, Texas. She spent her early childhood in Archer City, and later when her family moved, in Denton. In her early 20's she moved with her sister to Wichita Falls to work at the State School. While in Wichita Falls, she met her future husband William Harvey Evans. They were married on March 9, 1940. They were married for 52 years prior to Harvey's death on November 24, 1992. They lived in Fort Worth for the majority of their married life. Roberta worked many jobs around Fort Worth. Two of them being at Ken Davis Industries and General Dynamics, from where she retired. She was active in several organizations through the years. She served as President of the Trinity chapter of the American Business Women Association, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was proceeded in death by her husband William Harvey Evans, her Parents Robert and Myrtle Alcorn, four sisters and a brother. She is survived by her children Jan Rowe, Bill Evans and his wife Pat. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
