Hazel (Miller) Ness, went to be with Jesus, her Savior on Sat. October 24, 2009. She was born on March 25, 1920 in Wilgus, OH to the late Lillie (Shipley) and Charles McConnell. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andy Miller in 1969, also husband, John A. Ness and son-in-law, Robert Crofut. Hazel was a housewife and mother and loved being with her family. She loved giving to others, baking lots of Christmas cookies and making every holiday special. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and visits from her friends and family. She lived the past seven years at Rose Lane Health Center. The family appreciates the Rose Lane staff and activities department for the care they provided. She was a member of Canton Baptist Temple. She is survived by a son, James (Suzie) Miller of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Margo (Richard) Cammeron of Brentwood, TN, Linda Crofut of Canton, Kathy (Robert) Kelly of Canton; three step-children, Chuck Beatty, Martha (Jim) Dine, John (Judy) Ness; seven grandchildren, Jeff Smith, Holly (Kevin) Watson of Brentwood, TN, Lisa (Allan) Winn of Suffolk, VA, Andrew Miller of Beaudorx, France, Debbie (Keith) Hufford of Atlanda, GA, Matt (Kim) Reemsnyder of Canton and Ben Reemsnyder of Columbus, OH. There are seven great grandchildren also surviving. Funeral Services will be held Tue. at 11am in Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. There will be brief visitation from 10:30am to 11am on Tue. prior to services. Burial will be in Ft. Laurens Cemetery, Bolivar, OH.
