Irene Marjolee "Marge" Lewis Severns Eldridge age 87, of Canton, Ohio passed away on October 17, 2011 from complications of COPD at the Laurels of Canton. She was born on August 20, 1924 to the late David J. Lewis and Stella (Keller) Lewis in Canton, Ohio. Irene graduated from Middlebranch High School in1942.She was a member of First Christian Church for 60+ years. She enjoyed watching ball games, crossword puzzles and spending time with her cats. Of all the different places life took her, she enjoyed her time in Wyoming the most. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Ellen Clark and Mildred Bagueros; granddaughter, Theresa Severns; and grandson, Jeff "Sev" Severns. She is survived by her sons, John Severns, Richard (Kathy) Mortland; daughter, Terri (Tom) Eckroate; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Laurels of Canton for their exceptional care and support. She will be remembered as a generous and loving person to family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel from 12-1pm. A service will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home on Thursday, October 20, 2011. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
