Eugene was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
Affectionately known as Uncle Scrooge, he was our favorite ol' hippie, he loved playing Poker and going to the casino. He enjoyed working on cars and loved spending time with all of his family and friends.
Eugene is survived by his son, David Wilson; siblings, William Wilson, Christine Wilson, Matthew Boyer, Gregory Peplow, Matthew Boyagian, Gregory Fish, Ross Wyatt, and Amy Wyatt; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Marlene Youmans; his daughter, Sheila Rae Wilson; and his son, Kim Ryan Aasland.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at Kewadin United Methodist Church. Burial to follow at Kewadin Indian Mission Cemetery.
