George lived in this area his entire life and retired from the County of San Diego Road Dept. He also farmed field crops, had avocado trees, raised cattle, involved in the bee business and cultivated an organic garden.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary of Olivenhain; two sons, Richard of Olivenhain and Robert of Sun City; one sister Alta Teten; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 5 at the Olivenhain Pioneer Cemetery, in Olivenhain. El Camino Memorial Encinitas Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Published in U-T San Diego on June 4, 2003
