Jean A. Jones died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at The Orchard Retirement Home in Ridgeland. She was 71.
Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Clinton. She was an insurance agent and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Mississippi College. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton, where she taught Sunday school for 28 years. She was a member of Town Club, DAR, the Arts Council, Le Medi and Clinton Parks and Recreation Committee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Jones Sr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Albritton; one brother, John Albritton; and one sister, Christine Dickson.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen J. Robbins of Clinton; one son, Glen Jones Jr. of Vicksburg; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Clinton. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 this evening at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton and from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
