Born Dec. 26, 1927, in Guilford Township, Franklin County, he was a son of the late Reuben and Martha Hartman Fogelsanger.
He was employed by Erie Insurance Co. as a damage appraiser. Prior to moving to Annville, he owned Fogelsanger's Auto Service in Shippensburg.
He attended Christian Fellowship Church, Rexmont.
A member of Steelstown Gunning Club, he was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Janet N. Handshew Fogelsanger; a son, L. Edward of Annville; three grandsons; three brothers, Kenneth E. of Shippensburg, Jay E. of Hanover, and the Rev. Donald H. of Chambersburg; and a sister, Mildred L. (Mrs. J. Henry) Long of Elizabethtown. A daughter preceded him in death.
Burial will be Saturday in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
