This was my great-grandfather, on my dad's side. I never knew him, at least I don't remember him (I was 4 when he died). All I know at this point is his name, and the year he died, and where his grave is (near his son, and my grandpa's grave Bruce Joseph Collum).
New Information: I have been on Ancestry.com since I added this memorial. John was born October 15, 1896. His father was Hugh Collum and his grandfather was James Collum (died 1900). Both are buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Brooklyn, Iowa, and are listed on this website. As there are dozens of Collums buried at Calvary, I don't know why John (and his descendants thereafter) were buried in Hazelwood in Grinnell.
