Mrs. Emma Smith, 73, Mindenmines died at her home yesterday. She was found by a friend who had come to visit her. Dr. Thomas I Carroll. Barton County Coroner ruled the death due to natural causes. Mrs, Smith, a native of Altoona. Kan., was a longtime resident of Mindenmines, and a member of the Mindenmines Community Church, Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nadene Post Independence, Kan.; a son, Jerome Clary, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and four grandchildren. -- Funeral services will be at 2 p m. Monday in the Mindenmines Community Church with the Rev. William McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Oakton cemetery under the direction of the Bruce-Konantz Funeral Home of Lamar.
