Glenn R. Linnert Sr, 98, passed away peacefully, December 10, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd. Glenn was born to the late John E. and Emma Linnert in New Albany, Indiana and remained on the family farm throughout his life.

He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University, then his PhD in secondary education from Purdue University. Over the years he has been a school teacher, college professor, private pilot, school administrator and bus driver as well as a farmer. Glenn was always a dedicated and hard worker who supported his two children in both good and bad times and shared his love with both them and his loving wife of over 72 years, Vivian. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends but they realize that he has "gone home" and everyone will meet again.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Vivian; son, Bob Linnert Jr.; daughter, Melodie A. Dempster (David); grandson, Brad Dempster (Nicole) and great-granddaughters, Baylea, Summer and Cali Dempster.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Irma Sarles and Thelma Miller.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17th, 4-8pm at the Oak Street Location of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes, with funeral service on Saturday at 10am. He will be buried in Graceland Memorial Park.
