Dora Mae Blow Bidlack

On July 27, 2010, Dora Mae (Blow) Bidlack, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Born March 18, 1942, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Warren Strope and Ara Bell Saladay Strope.

Dora moved to this area when she was 15.

Dora retired after 25 years of service at GTE Sylvania in Towanda, to help her husband Bruce operate the family business, Bidlack Excavating, for the next 25 years until their retirement in the fall of 2009.

The couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Feb. 16, 2010.

Dora loved to sew and make crafts with all her grandchildren.

Surviving are: her loving husband, Bruce P. Bidlack, at home; her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and John Copek of Luthers Mills; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Blow Sr. and Kathy Blow of RR 3 Towanda; her stepson and daughter-in-law, Duane and JoAnn Bidlack of Hemlock Run; her stepdaughter and her companion, Robin Relyea and Dana Baldwin of Waverly, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Randi (Nick) May, Danielle (Ronald Jr.) Wheeler, Dylan Russell, Kenneth Blow Jr. (Ashley Hickok), Jarrett and Reed Bidlack, Codie Relyea, T.J. and Tory Glisson; her great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Hunter and Brooke Wheeler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: a son, Roy Thomas Blow Jr. (Tommy) in 1975; first husband, Roy Thomas Blow Sr.; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Blow in 1986; brother, Charles Luckman in 2009; and special sister-in-law, Lois Blow Strope in 2004.

There are no calling hours. Private interment services will in the Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, Pa.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to the Bradford County Humane Society, P.O. Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850, in Dora Mae Bidlack's memory.
