---Cora May Shumaker, 90, of Kirksville died this morning in a Kirksville hospital where she had been a parient for the past seven months.
---The daughter of James C. and Orpha Jane (Buck) Patterson, she was born on Sept. 27, 1871 in Ohio. On Jan. 10, 1889 in Macon county she was married to Luther L. Shumaker and to this marriage five children were born.
---Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Laura) Stull of Hurlett, Wyo., and Lola Edna Shumaker of Santa Rose, Calif.; one son, Ray Shumaker of Brashear; one stepson, Roscoe Shumaker of Brashear and one stepdaughter, Leora Fitch of Ventura, Calif.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
---She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, four brothers and one sister.
---Mrs. Shumaker was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church of Kirksville.
---The body is at the Dee Riley Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
