Margaret Grow, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Oct. 22, 2021, at her home in
Winchester, Va., after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on Aug 26, 1928, in Fauquier County, Va., to Bertha Lee Putnam and J. H. Williams.

Margaret is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Joseph Grow; 2 daughters, Carol Wakelee (Bob) and Vicki Jenkins Conover (James), both of Winchester, Va.; 3 children through marriage; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. As well as two sisters, Sally Beaver and Hattie Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sons Woodrow and Leroy, daughter Patty, as well as sisters Mary and Wilma.

She was a faithful and beloved member of Summit Point Baptist Church. Margaret was a talented cook and hosted many wonderful celebrations. Besides spending time with family and friends, Margaret enjoyed traveling and gardening. She touched many lives through her generosity and passion for life.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at 10:30am at Summit Point Baptist Church, Summit Point WV. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Summit Point Baptist Church in memory of Margaret Grow.
