Deborah Ann Wright Roe Smith, 71, passed away December 14, 2021.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late James Edwin Wright, Sr., and Dorothy Nell Miller Wright, she taught art for 43 years in the Greenville County School System and was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. Debbie had a love for all animals and enjoyed her life on her farm. She was an avid Clemson fan and loved spending time with her family and summers at the beach fishing.
Surviving are her husband, David Weldon Smith of the home; a daughter, Sara Jane Roe (Andrew); one grandson, Colton James White; one brother, James Edwin Wright, Jr. (Tanya) of Greer; one sister, Ginger Leigh Cater of Lyman; also surviving are three sons, Jonathan David Smith (Sarah), Ben Paul Smith (Melissa), William Clark Smith (Katie); one daughter, Jessica Smith Almond (Josh); and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her first husband, James Wilson Roe.
Funeral services will be held 2:30PM Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly and Rev. Molly Wilkes. Burial will follow at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:15PM Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Fairview Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Ben Smith, Jonathan Smith, William Smith, Josh Almond, Andrew White and William Zane Cater.
