James Logan Dick, 77, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Ragle, of Ferguson, following an illness of four years.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilse Dick, he and Miss Relda Hughes were united in marriage in 1904. To this union five children were born, one preceding him in death.

He was a good citizen who bore his suffering patiently. A favorite among neighbors, he always lived a life of highest Christian principles.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Decker, Muncie, Indiana, Mrs. Addie Simpson, Cambridge City, Indiana, and Mrs. George Ragle, Ferguson; one son, Roy Dick, Burnside; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Dick, Burnside and John Dick, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Ragle, with the Rev. J.C. Roberts and the Rev. E.H. Insko officiating. Interment was in the Burnside Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Jane Dick, nee Thompson, 84, died at her home near Monticello Sunday after an illness of several months. Mrs. Dick was born in Pulaski County but had been living in Wayne County for several years. She is survived by five sons, Logan, Russell, and Arthur, all of Burnside, Charles of Monticello, and John of Cincinnati, Ohio. One brother, Johnnie Thompson of Kidder; 29 grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday with Rev. Hucaby of Roger's Grove Church officiating. Burial was at Monticello.
