Heart Attack Fatal To Daves

Willie Thomas Daves, an employee of Pelucia Drainage District, died early Tuesday afternoon following a heart attack. He was 55.

Funeral arrangements are not complete. Services will be conducted by Williams and Lord Funeral Home.

Mr. Daves lived at Rt. 1, Greenwood.

He leaves his wife, two sons, William Floyd Daves of San Francisco, Charles K. Daves of Greenwood, two stepsons, Richard Carithers and Thomas Carithers, both of Greenwood, eight daughters, Miss Martha Lynn Daves, Mrs. Wesley Stokes, Mrs. Mike Mulvihill, Mrs. J. O. Summerville, all of Greenwood, Mrs. A. T. Pepper of Moorhead, Mrs. Dick Hirras of Birmingham, Mrs. Mike Fleischer of Sweet Water, Texas, Mrs. Dick Mawheinny of Seattle, two sisters, Miss Mammie Daves of Winona, and Mrs. J. P. Parker of Yazoo City, 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

William Thomas married Minnie Lou Welch. He is the son of Edward Truitt Daves Sr and Elizabeth Walker Daves. He was born and died in Carroll County.
