He was born in 1943 in Logansport to Robert J. "Bunk" and Margaret Enyart Burgess, who have preceded him in death.
Also, his brother, Joe Burgess, passed away when he was 30 years of age.
Pat's nieces and nephews called him "U P" for Uncle Pat.
Surviving Pat are two daughters, Laura and Tammy; sister, Susie Clark and her husband, Jerry Clark, and son, Jeffrey Clark. Jeff is married to Lorrye. Susie also has a son, Devon Harris and his wife, Brenda Harris.
Another surviving sister and husband are Kay and Tom Weatherwax and their six children, Steve Drye, Michelle Winters, Kris Chauncey, David Drye, Kevin Weatherwax and Craig Weatherwax. They also have many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pat was a 1961 graduate of Logansport High School and had been employed at Myers Spring in Logansport for many years and had many of great friends with whom he worked and enjoyed. A special appreciation is noted for Craig Miller, Todd Miller and their family for making Pat a part of their family.
He enjoyed fishing, and the trips he took each year to Senneterre QC and other areas with his fishing buddies, Bob Barr and others. These were the highlights he remembered. He also enjoyed playing golf, cards, pool and hunting. His friends called him "Bunky", a nickname he got from his father.
Pat's real love was his Shih-Poo, "Buttons", his companion up until his passing.
