Andrew P. Jones, who states DOB as June 21, 1844 in Chambers Co., Alabama, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives under Floyd County. He says he enlisted in 1864 in LaGrange, Troup County and served with Gartrells/Garbells Company, Forrest Escourt. While in Alabama, he was sent on detail at the end of the war. He got as far as Stewart County and was too sick to continue. His witnesses agreed that is where he was at the surrender, and his pension was approved.
