Sharon Kay Dorff
1939-2021

Age 82, of Remer, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 12th, 2021. Sharon was born on October 21st, 1939, to Franklin & Luella Miller. She was raised on the family farm in Prairie Farm, WI with 6 brothers and sisters and graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1957. Sharon started working after high school at the Coffee Cup Café in Barron, WI and eventually moved to Minneapolis where she lived in a women's dormitory and worked in accounting at IDS when she met the love of her life, Roger. They were married on January 25th, 1964 and lived in Robbinsdale and Rockford, but eventually settled and raised their family on Lake Martha in Buffalo, MN. Sharon was very busy raising an active family along with supporting the family businesses including Roger's Red Owl, Suds Ur Duds Laundromat and Dorff Distributing. She would rarely miss any of the kid's sporting events and was active in garden club, ceramics, golf and bowling leagues to name a few. Throughout her life, Roger and Sharon enjoyed traveling all over the country and somehow always fit in a trip to Vegas along the way. She always enjoyed going to BINGO with her friends and many visits to the casino with Roger. The bulk of their retirement days were spent on the lake in Remer, MN and also in Surprise, AZ for the winter months. There will likely be an open seat at many tables where she would be playing cards or games including cribbage, Hand and Foot, Mexican Train, Sequence and bridge to name a few.

She was preceded in death by son, Patrick; parents Franklin & Luella; 3 sisters, Shirley, June & Carol; brother, Roger; and daughter in law, Lori. As a loving wife, mother, grandma and sister, she will be missed by husband of almost 58 Years, Roger; children, Chris and Leanne (Greg); daughter in law, Jamie; 7 beautiful and strong granddaughters, Alyssa, Rachel, Hanna, Lauren, Erin, Kendall and Brisa; siblings, Adeline and Chuck (Nancy); special bonus family, Jason (Jolene), Emma & Alyson; and an amazing extended family that cared for her deeply.

Faith in Jesus was an important part of Sharon's life and guiding her children on the right path started at an early age and continued on right up until her death. She instilled love, compassion, trust, acceptance, peace, hard work and honesty into their hearts. Her legacy will live on in her grandchildren that brought her so much pride and joy. A text, phone call, FaceTime, or in-person visit from her granddaughters was a treasure for her and brought a smile to her face.

A celebration of life will be held December 28th at 11:00 am with a visitation 1 hour before the service at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, MN 55082. A light lunch will follow the service. Interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.

The family wishes to offer a special thank you to the staff at St. Croix Hospice for the amazing care and support they provided for approximately 1½ years to Roger and Sharon.

Masks are preferred at the visitation and memorial service.
