His children, Tony Berger, Kim Bradley (Terry), Ross Berger (Gina) and Kelly Berger (Maggi); loving grandmother to Brian, Kami, Christy, Courtney, Chris, Michelle, Kyla, Jay, Jeff, Daniel, and Garrett. Blessed with great-grandchildren, Kellen, Kyler, Kortni, Jace, Kyle, Ella, Hailey, Braelyn, Emma, Madison, Austin, Maci, Chance, Isaac, Lillian, Grayson, Hailee, Sophia, Makala, Robinson, Oliver and Sloan; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

I was blessed that my Heavenly Father entrusted me to the care of Earl Berger as my earthly father. My dad was my first and always my greatest hero. He was a good athlete, a man's man, a godly man, a loving husband, a great dad, able to fix most anything, He had a great sense of humor & loved to tease. He was a faithful church member at FBC Hutchinson, KS; Henderson Hills BC, Edmond, OK; Second Baptist Church, Okmulgee, OK; and back to FBC Cushing, Ok, (where he and mom graduated High School) at the end of his life. He and our mom took us to church every time the doors were open. One of my fondest memories is of him teaching Jr. High boys Sunday School in the basement of FBC Hutchinson, KS when I was a kid.
Dad was good at most everything he did. I remember running all over the place with my friends at church softball & basketball games, and most especially the bowling alley, while he played. Dad loved sports of all kinds, but most especially his OU Sooners. He was a lifelong fan through thick and thin.
Dad loved the Lord, our mom and us kids. He gave us a wonderful childhood and I never thanked him enough for that. He worked very hard at every job he did and worked whatever was necessary to take care of his family. My work ethic comes directly from his example and expectation.
'Dad has struggled with his health for the last several years. A lifetime of hard work taken it's toll. We talked a few times, when it was hard to go on, about mom needing him to keep going. Mom had dementia, and through all of her decline, dad was the lifeline, tied to her Savior. Any time she was struggling, she wanted dad. He worked through some times, with his health, that I think he would have given up, if it wasn't for her needing him. This last year and a half since mom died, he went on, but he seemed to have lost his spark. He spoke almost daily about missing mom.
He loved going to live with my sister Kim and wonderful brother-in-law Terry after mom died. He spoke of it often to me. He was so proud of my brothers Tony & Kelly and always told me what was going on with them when we visited. This fall things worked out for him to move back to his house in Cushing, and my older brother Tony was able to move in with and take care of him.
Friday around 1:00 I came back inside and found a text from Tony asking the rest of us to call ASAP. My heart knew what the news was immediately. His heart had finally given up.
Dad, I'm going to miss you more than I can express. Thanks for being a great dad, giving us a great home, being the example every son should have of loving your wife, and most importantly, your faithfulness to the Lord. Thank you for giving me an example that lead me to the Lord. Because of that I know that there will come a time when I will step out into eternity and worship around the throne with you & mom, and my wife and sons, and so many other family. I'm trying to the kind of grandpa you were to my kids, and all of your other grandkids and great-grandkids. Give mom, your sisters, your parents and all those who've gone to the Lord before us a hug. I look forward to worshipping the King with you some day. Until then . .
