Frances Anne Rice passed away from this life at the age of 104 years young, on Friday, December 17, 2021, at her home.
She was born on April 27, 1917, in Sherman, Texas to William and Bertha (Grammer) Taylor.
She married David Alvin Rice on July 9, 1938, and resided in Odessa, Texas where they enjoyed a good life together. They were blessed with a daughter Shirley Dean and a son David Edwin.
She worked for Sears for 18 years retiring in 1972. She had many talents including quilting, sewing, painting, playing the piano, making jewelry and many more. She also wrote amazing letters to the President and to the Editor of the Odessa American paper.
She is a member of the Parkview Church of Christ where she enjoyed listening to God's word and singing with her family and friends. She was a blessing to everyone! Preceded in death by her husband, David Alvin Rice, her parents and step-mother, Mandy (Blankenship) Taylor.
Her daughter Shirley Pokorny and son-in-law, John Pokorny. Also, an infant grandson Jon David Rice. Seven brothers: (2 infants) Leamon, Edmond, Archie, Leon, and Kenneth
Six sisters: Gertie, Thelma, Richie, Mayhew, Fern, and Ida.
