Carlton (He was always called by his middle name) was the younger son of Thad Gilbert Babb and Beryl Lorene Woodall. He married Dorothy Mae Hyde 24 SEP 1938 in Chatsworth, Murray County, Georgia.
He attended Berry College in Rome, GA. He was a train engineer. He loved family, and loved to tell stories.
He and Dorothy had three children, all called by their middle names, just as he was: James Lawrence (Larry) Babb, Ara Jane (Jane) Babb, and Walter Michael (Mike) Babb.
