He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Eighty-One Freewill Baptist Church, he was a member and past Master of Van Buren Masonic Lodge #6, a charter member & past Master Soloman Lodge #767 St. Paul, AR., a member of the Fine Springs Lodge #439 and Van Buren Arch Lodge #3.
