Veda worked for the White Mountain Apache Tribe for many years. She loved crocheting, reading and spending time with family. She enjoyed tagging along for fishing trips and also joyriding in the mountains. She had many friends. She was an active member of the Open Bible Lutheran Church in Whiteriver, AZ.
Veda is survived by her husband: Wesley Alchesay and daughters: Virgilee Alchesay Quintero, Veticia Caddo and Maha (Brittny) Alchesay.She was preceded in death by her father: Walter Sanchez Sr.; mother: Myra Sanchez; sister: Inona S. Classay and son: Lesley Alchesay Sr.
A wake was held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her residence in Diamond Creek. The funeral will be on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10am at the Whiteriver Lutheran Church of the Open Bible in Whiteriver, AZ. Interment will be at the Golden Gorge Cemetery in Whiteriver, AZ.
