Mrs. Susan Erisman, sixty-seven years of age, widow of the late John Erisman, died Thursday morning [5 Oct] from a complication of diseases, at 3:30 o'clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Herel, in Harrisburg. Mrs. Erisman had sustained a broken hip in an accident 18 months ago, and since that time had been confined to her bed.

She was the daughter of Adam and Christian Musser and was born in Lancaster county near Elizabethtown. Her husband had been a resident of Dauphin county for forty years prior to their moving to Middletown some years ago.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Kreiser, of Royalton, and Mrs. George Herel, of Harrisburg; five sons, Jacob B., Clarence, Charles B. and James of Harrisburg; and by one brother, John B. Musser, of Harrisburg, and twenty grandchildren.

The funeral services were held Sunday at her late residence at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Interment was made in Highspire Cemetery. (Source: Lancaster New Era dated Fri., 6 Oct 1916 p.3)
