Son of Mr. & Mrs. Luther C. FRAZER, who are evidently Luther Chalmers & Rowena E.(HARRISON) FRAZER, who married 06 DEC 1878 in Muscogee County, Georgia. Died at the family residence on Oglethorpe Street (now First Avenue).

Burial record from sexton's ledger book shows: a child of Luther FRAZIER [sic] was born in Georgia, died of unknown cause [age not reported], and was buried 04 JUN 1882 in Section C, Lot 579, as a resident of Columbus, Georgia. The sexton was Abraham ODOM.

This grave is evidently not identifiably marked. On 25 JAN 1865, J. A. FRAZER paid $37.50 each (non-resident rate) for Lots 577, 578, 579, and 580 in Section C. The FRAZER family used Lot 580 (and apparently the north part of Lot 577). This lot corresponds with Lot 172 of Section J in Dolores Autry's "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book (edited by Lea Dowd et al.), Volume 3. Among the marked graves in this lot are those of this child's great-grandparents, John Haywood FRAZER (died 08 DEC 1863, aged 64 years), and Catherine (GLAZE) FRAZER (died 25 JUL 1875, aged 64 years).

The balance of city C-577 was used by the PORTER family (Autry J-169, with C. E. PORTER on the threshold). Lot 578 was used by the WILLIAMS / JEFFERSON family (Autry J-170, with WILLIAMS on the threshold). Lot 579 was used by the LATHAM family (Autry J-181, with N. E. LATHAM on the threshold). It's not clear if this FRAZER child is unmarked in the LATHAM lot, Autry J-171, or if the city lot number was misreported for this burial and it's actually in the FRAZER lot, Autry J-172.

Autry reports one infant-sized ledger with no identifying markings. She speculates that it is the grave of John W. FRAZIER [sic], who was buried 18 [sic] JAN 1875, aged 3 months -- however, the original burial record for that individual shows
