Born June 13, 1926 in Duboistown, she was the daughter of the late Basil J. and Melinda (Fye) Little.
She was married to John D. Branton and he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1986.
Surviving are their children, Linda L. Carlson and husband Donald of Lanse, John D. Branton and wife Dawn of Cedar Springs, Mich.; Nancy R. Smeal and husband David of Morrisdale, Marvin R. Branton and wife Elizabeth J. of Philipsburg, Tammysue Johnson and husband Robert (Ted) of Morrisdale; son-in-law, Harmon K. Wagner of Morrisdale; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Gerald Little of Philipsburg and Robert Little and wife Kay of Bellefonte.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Sheila Branton and Gail Wagner; granddaughter, Johnalee Smeal; two sisters; and four brothers.
Mary was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved traveling with her family and camping. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Winburne Fire Company, a member of the Kylertown Senior Center and was a homemaker. She also baby sat and raised numerous kids.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 from Lanse Evangelical Free Church, Lanse, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon with her grandson, Joshua A. Johnson officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Messiah Baptist Cemetery, Lanse.
