MADILL -- Services for Virgil Lenard, 77, will be Monday at the Corbin Memorial Chapel in Tishomingo with the Revs. Rocky Pettyjohn and Bob Paige officiating. Interment will be in the Woodberry Forest Cemetery in Madill.
Born Jan. 31, 1920, in Marshall County to James L. and Anne M. Wheeler Lenard, he died Dec. 25, 1997, in Milburn.
Lenard attended school in Madill. He and Dorothy Duncan were married Dec. 17, 1938, in Madill. He was a miller helper for U.S. Silica and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Kenneth E., of Milburn, and Edward W., Mill Creek; three daughters, Edna F. Zornes, Marlin, Texas, Emma J. Grundy and Lanora M. Ratliff, both of Tishomingo; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Corbin Funeral Home will direct services.
