Marion C. Deen, 83, of Hargis died Sunday, April 1, 1973 in a Shreveport nursing home where he was residing.

Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m. in Hargis Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Blue officiating, assisted by Rev. V. K. Fletcher and Rev. Roy Moore. Interment was in Hargis Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Deen of Hargis, three sons, Lee Deen of New Orleans, O. W. Deen of Shreveport, and Jesse Deen of Rocky Mount; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Box of Shreveport and Mrs. Lucille Smith of Malakoff, Texas; two brothers, Arthur Deen of Beaumont, Texas and Ebin Deen of
Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Harper of Alexandria and Mrs. Carrie Creed of Tioga; 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Jerry Box, Perry Smith, Larry Deen, Duane Deen, Bill Deen, and Robin Deen.
