POLAND – Patricia (Yokell) Hodgdon of Poland put down her knitting needles for the very last time on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021. Pat was born in Lewiston on Dec. 21, 1938, to Albert and Lillian (Pelletier) Yokell. She was educated in Lewiston schools and married C. Thayne "Skip" Hodgdon on June 28, 1958. Together they ran a successful well-drilling business, raced his stock cars, and for many winters enjoyed their second home in Florida. Pat was a Past Matron and life member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Buckfield and Auburn. She adored her family, her pets, arts and crafts (especially knitting and crochet) and NASCAR. A list of dear ones would fill many pages – if Pat knew you, she loved you.Survivors include daughters Johanna Barnett and husband Steven of California, Cindy Hodgdon-Hemond and husband Rick Hemond of Minot, Kathy Williamson and companion Steven Dillon of Auburn; son Scott Hodgdon and companion Pamela Luce of Poland, grandchildren E. Jason Torrey and Joel Torrey, Thomas Bowie, Taylor McBurney, Tate Hodgdon, and John Williamson, five great-grandchildren, her sister Mary Cole of Colorado, and brothers Marshall Yokell and wife Natalie of Connecticut, and Raymond Goguen of Portland.She was predeceased by her husband, their daughter Debra Hodgdon, and son Michael Hodgdon, and a brother, Wesley Hill Jr.The family wishes to thank the Emergency and Palliative Care staffs of Central Maine Medical Center and Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. Services are planned for Spring with interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, 26 W. Dwinal St, Mechanic Falls.
