Evon Delane Rasmussen, 72, formerly of Oxford, IN and had been residing at the St. Mary Healthcare in Lafayette, IN, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at 12:40 PM.
She was born in Home Hospital in Lafayette, IN on July 12, 1949, the daughter of the late Floyd Ray and Donna Mae (Gilbert) Rasmussen. Evon was raised in Templeton and Oxford and graduated from Oxford High School. She later graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis. Evon work as a blood bank technician with Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis until her retirement in 2008. She had formerly lived in Huntsville, AL and later moved back to Oxford before going into the healthcare center.
Evon enjoyed sewing, knitting and bead crafts. She was a former troop leader for the Girl Scouts. She was an avid traveler. While working at Wishard Hospital, Evon formerly owned and operated the Flower Basket in Boswell.
In 1969, Evon married Timothy Orr in Oxford, IN.
Evon leaves behind five children; one sister; two brothers; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
