Patrick Power
Patrick Power, 83 years and 4 days old, of 213 Grove street, for 40 years roofer in this city and one of the original members of the Immaculate Conception church, died last night at his home.
He was the sone of Nicholas and Johanna (Hanley) and was born in Waterford, Ireland, coming to this country in 1853. After completing his education he entered the roofing business and during his years as a contractor he laid the roofs on the Bloomingdale hospital, St. Peter's, St. Anne's, Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart churches. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Name society of the Immaculate Conception church.
He leaves two daughters. Josephine, with whom he lived, and Mrs. George Prior: and four sons, Jeffrey M., Ernest F., Patrick M., of Worcester and Robert J. of Portland, Ore. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock with a solemn high mass of requiem in the Immaculate Conception church. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.
