He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Myra Colville Buirley and two brothers, Raymond and Cliff.
He graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1946.
Mr. Buirley served 15 months in the army receiving the WWII Victory medal; he was stationed at Otsu, Japan with the 35th Infantry Division.
He worked at Stonecrest and Batdorf's turkey farms and the City of Troy Power plant/DP&L retiring from DP&L in 1983; cooked at Empire Restaurant after his retirement from DP&L;worked part time at Piqua Automotive for several years.
Mr. Buirley was a Master Mason and a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, OH: a life member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Miami County Antique Power Association. He was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren.
Chaplain Michael Hodson will be the officant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be amde to Hospice of Miami Coutny.
