REPLOGLE FUNERAL HELD
HAGERSTOWN. Ind.. March 12. The funeral of Miss Nancy Replogle, age 58 who died at Easthaven, Wednesday, was held at the church of the Brethren here Friday afternoon. Miss Replogle was the daughter of John Replogle, who was in business here a number of years ago and lived with him at that time. She is survived by three sisters and one brother. Mrs. Janie Hoover, of Altoona, Pa., Mrs. D. W. Bowman, of Anderson, Miss Will Burgess, of Mooreland, and Lew Replogle. of New York city.

Nancy Ellen Replogle had been an inmate of the Eastern Indiana Hospital For the Insane in Hagerstown for over 20 years. She was single and had never married. Nancy's Death Certificate indicates that her mother was her (John Hoover Replogle) father's 1st wife, Barbara (Ullirich). This conflicts with the stated birth date of April 16, 1962 on her death certificate, which is supported by the 1870 & subsequent Federal Census. Barbara's stated date of death of 1860 indicated on her grave stone in this Brick Church Cemetery in Hagerstown, Indiana. John's second wife, Catherine Heavel, had been living with John and Barbara prior to Barbara's death, working as a servant and she married John in Feb of 1861. Catherine died in 1875 while she, John and their family were living in Kansas. After her death, John returned to his original home area in Wayne County, Indiana. He is buried in this cemetery next to his first wife.
