Elmer Lewis Adwell, age 61 of Glace, W. Va. died Monday, September 18 in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, W. Va. following an extended illness.
He was born October 31, 1933 at Caldwell, W. Va., a son of the late Sylvester and Naomi Bennett Adwell.

He was a member of the Hylton Free Holiness Church at Glace and was a former employee of Greenbrier State Forest at Harts Run.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Roger Hull.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones Adwell, at home; son, Andy Lewis Adwell of Hot Springs, Va.; daughters, Mrs. Lillian Hull, White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. and Mrs. Della Hoke of Glace; brother, Lonnie Adwell, White Sulphur Springs; sisters, Mrs. Anna Vaughan, Fairlea, Mrs. Mary Wingler, Caldwell and Mrs. Ruth Armentrout, Falling Springs, Va.; 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, September 22 in the Penial Pentecostal Holiness Church, White Sulphur Springs with Rev. Okey King and Rev. Charles Feury officiating. Interment will follow in Dowdy Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs.
