Rosemary C. Lensmire, age 82, of 1012 N. 16th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center, Manitowoc.
Rosemary was born on June 6, 1925, in Alverno, daughter of the late Frank and Isabel Gehrig Fessler. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1942. On May 17, 1952, she married Howard J. Lensmire at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno.
Survivors include her husband; Howard Lensmire, Manitowoc, one daughter and son-in-law; Christine and Michael Miller, Ripon, WI, three sons; Peter Lensmire, Two Rivers, James Lensmire, Ennis, TX, Todd Lensmire and Marie Hare, Lake Jackson, TX, six grandchildren; Margaret (Mark) Boucher, Shailah (Joseph) Handy, Caroline, Samuel, Andrew, Aaron, Miller, one great grandson; Henry Boucher, four sisters and brothers-in-law; Marjorie and Myron Habermann, Manitowoc, Ann and Emery Casper, Plymouth, Mildred and Donald Duchon, Manitowoc, Jean and Robert Eis, Two Rivers, one brother and sister-in-law; Anthony and Joan Fessler, Manitowoc, one sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Lynn and Larry Brey Sr., Elkhart Lake, WI. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Monsignor James Vanden Hogan with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Paul Kieffer, and Thursday morning at the Waldo Site from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
