GOURLEY, Kenneth H., age 71, of Miamisburg, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Friday, October 19, 2007. Ken retired from the United States Air Force as a Captain after 10 years of service and continued on for an additional 33 years as a civil servant at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was also a Veteran of the USAF, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. Ken was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Church, a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a Toastmaster, a Facilitator in the Dayton Dialogue for Race Relations and a devoted father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geri, in 2004; his parents, Van Kenneth and Doris Gourley. He is survived by his 3 sons, Mike (Shelly), John (Marla) and Dave Gourley; 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Brent, Alexis and Morgan, his loving dogs Lady & Peekaboo and his brother Jim Dykes, his life long friend Rev. Gary Perior (Sue), his special son Steve Hardisty and his family, and many more beloved family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 320 East Central Avenue, Miamisburg, OH 45342 with Father Tom Nevels officiating. Burial at David's Cemetery will immediately following the funeral. Ken's family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM Thursday at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St. in Centerville. To help the family in their time of need memorial contributions may be made in c/o John or David Gourley P.O. Box 446, West Carrollton, Ohio 45449.
