SULPHUR -- Services for Charles Edward Owens, 59. will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Fellowship Assembly with the Rev. Willard McCartney Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.

Owens died Feb. 4, 1998, in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born April 22, 1938, in Ardmore.

A lifetime resident of Sulphur, he was a truck driver and member of Memorial Fellowship Assembly. He and Bonnie Redmond were married Dec. 7, 1987, in Sulphur.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Tommy, Sulphur; his parents, Emmett and Ruth Jones Owens, Sulphur; two brothers, Harold, Ardmore, and James, Tacoma, Wash.; and a sister, Gayle McCook, Orange, Calif.; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Harp and Glenda Stiles.

Bearers will be Bill Patrick, Edward Busby, David Woods, Jim Davis, Bill Cochran and Gene Bonham. Honorary bearers are Bud McGuire, Sam Tillery, Charlie Hickman and Garland Brown.
