Pearl Mae Crabtree Hile died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007. She was 88.

Mrs. Hile was born July 24, 1919, in Ottawa County to Benjamin and Francis Lavina "Lou" Dyson Crabtree.

She was involved in several organizations and was a lifetime memer of the Rebekahs Lodge, the Ladies Auxiliary, the Ottawa Encampment and was a past Nobel Grand of the Rebekahs, a past Grand Matriarch, a past Canton and a lady president.

She married Louis Leon Hile on Sept. 3, 1938, in Neosho, Mo. He survives.

Additional survivors include five children, Louise Carr of Noel, Mo., Betty Cody of Troy, Mont., Sharon Franks of Inola, Elmer Hile of Quapaw and Lea Anna Baltzell of Glendale, Ariz.; one sister, Gertrude Canada of Keokock, Iowa; 23 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Leon Hile; her parents, and four siblings, Carl Crabtree, Orville Crabtree, Evelyn Bozarth and David Crabtree.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher. Burial will be in GAR Cemetery in Miami.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
