Laura Ann Bailey Webster, 92, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown. She was born on November 28, 1929, in Enfield, Illinois to the late Herman and Lula (Walters) Gunter.

Laura worked at Shane's Manufacturing as a seamstress. She also worked at Ball's Plastics and North Park Nursing Home. Laura was a bowler and bowled at Franklin Lanes. She loved fishing, sewing, gardening and eating out. She also loved to watch baseball games and was a big fan of the Cardinal's Spring Training.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Edna (Foley) Gunter; husbands, Clinton Bailey and Doris Webster; and sister, Juanita Gunter.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Linda Dogan (Mel); granddaughter, Jennifer Dogan (Jeff Lingis); grandson, Jason Dogan; great-granddaughters, Maya Dogan and Melea Lingis; sister, Phyllis "Pauline" Cherry; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, officiated by Pastor John Motz, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Published in Courier Press on Jan. 4, 2022.
